A commission to design a weather proof and habitable living space replacing an existing 10 x 7m veranda over carport. The two storey structure has been designed to have the appearance and functionality of a traditional glassed conservatory in the 1920's vernacular. Bi fold doors and louvered glassed panels provide the space with unobstructed ventilation on three and a half sides also giving access to the existing second floor veranda.
Beneath the conservatory is the heart of the structure, a three bay garage and offset secure bicycle lock up. All at ground level complete with ample storage and access to the home's cellar / workshop. All hidden behind a trio of automated bespoke cedar barn doors.
